Information You Enter Into MedTrak

MedTrak allows you to enter and manage information such as medications, dosage schedules, medication history, prescription and supply information, appointments, physicians, dentists, pharmacies, contact information, and related notes.

This information is provided by you for the purpose of using MedTrak's organizational and medication-tracking features.

Prescription Scanning

MedTrak can use your device camera to scan supported flat prescription labels and assist with entering prescription information.

Scanned information may not always be recognized accurately. MedTrak requires users to review recognized information before saving it. You should always verify medication information against the prescription label and instructions provided by your healthcare professional or pharmacy.

iCloud and Data Synchronization

MedTrak may use Apple's iCloud and CloudKit services to store and synchronize supported app data associated with your Apple Account. Data handled through iCloud is subject to Apple's applicable privacy and security practices.

MediSync Technologies does not operate an independent cloud database for storing your MedTrak medication records.

Apple Watch

If you use the MedTrak Apple Watch companion app, relevant medication schedule and dose-status information may be exchanged between your iPhone and paired Apple Watch so that MedTrak's Watch features can function.

Notifications

If you choose to enable notifications, MedTrak may use local notifications for features such as medication reminders and appointment reminders. Notification permissions can be managed through your device settings.

PDF Reports

MedTrak can generate PDF reports from information stored in the app. You control whether and how a generated report is saved, shared, or presented to another person, including a healthcare professional.

Generated reports may contain information you consider private or sensitive. Review a report before sharing it and use care when selecting recipients or storage locations.

Maps, Phone and External Services

MedTrak may allow you to open external services or system applications, such as Maps for directions to an appointment or the Phone app to contact a saved physician or pharmacy.

When you leave MedTrak and use another application or service, that service's privacy practices apply.

Advertising and Sale of Personal Information

MedTrak does not use your medication information for advertising. MediSync Technologies does not sell your personal medication information to advertisers or data brokers.

Analytics and Tracking

MedTrak does not use third-party advertising trackers to follow you across apps or websites owned by other companies.

Data Control and Deletion

MedTrak provides features for managing information you have entered into the app. Deleting information from MedTrak may also result in corresponding synchronized information being removed through Apple's iCloud services, subject to Apple's synchronization behavior.

Removing the MedTrak app from a device does not necessarily delete information that has already been synchronized to iCloud. Your iCloud data is also subject to the controls and retention mechanisms provided by Apple.

Children's Privacy

MedTrak is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children through an advertising or marketing service. Parents and guardians should supervise the use of medication information and healthcare-related applications by minors.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated as MedTrak evolves. When material changes are made, the effective date shown on this page will be updated.
